These will cost a lot more than the manual toothbrushes but will also cost less than adult electric toothbrushes. It will be somewhere in between and generally quite affordable for the average family. However having said all that there is another question that needs to be asked which is, is it worth it your kid have the battery operated automatic version over the good old plastic ones. In my opinion kids should always start off with the manual ones so that they properly learn at a young age how to brush their teeth. Otherwise what will happen is that the kids electric toothbrush will do all the work for them and then the time will come when they will no access to such a device and will be unable to clean their teeth properly.

After a certain period of time when you children are competent at cleaning their teeth you can then start giving them the option of a battery operated device. This really depends on the child and not on their age or how long you have been training them to brush properly.
